王宁馨博士于2024年加入香港中文大学(深圳)。她是一位媒体人类学和数字民族志学者,曾在中国大陆、香港和台湾开展过长期的民族志田野调查。
王宁馨在伦敦国王学院获得了文化、媒体与创意产业研究的博士学位。在博士研究之前,她还获得了牛津大学社会人类学硕士,香港大学全球创意产业哲学硕士,以及南开大学哲学和中国文学的双学士。她曾担任台湾中央研究院民族学研究所访问学者,并在伦敦国王学院、伦敦大学伯贝克学院、香港大学和西交利物浦大学等高校担任兼职客座讲师。
她的研究兴趣在青年文化、数字媒体和国家治理的交叉领域。她曾深入考察了中国偶像粉丝、媒体平台算法和界面、文化市场和审查制度之间的互动关系。她目前正在研究(1)社交媒体的爱国主义话语与青年人日常生活的互动;(2)亚洲创意产业的跨国消费,尤其是中国影视动漫游戏在东南亚和南美的文化市场与粉丝经济;(3)粤港澳大湾区传统实体市场的数字化转型和电商直播。
王宁馨被选举为传媒领域顶会国际传播学会(ICA)大众媒体和文化分部的早期职业代表。她还担任多家传媒和文化研究领域的SSCI期刊的审稿人。
在学术界之外,她关于中国文化产业和粉丝经济的采访和评论被新华社、北京青年报、凤凰网、界面文化、中央广播电台经济之声和T Magazine等知名媒体刊载,也作为中外多家咨询公司和影视公司的客座顾问分享关于粉丝经济的研究。她还是牛津大学华语戏剧社演员。
