Mission

The mission of the Institute of Chinese Culture of School of Humanities and Social Science of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (hereinafter Institute of Chinese Culture) is to inherit the founding mission and academic traditions of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, commit itself to quality teaching, research, application, and modernization of the fine traditions of Chinese culture, and contribute to our societies and the wellbeing of mankind.

By developing and using artificial intelligence and taking interdisciplinary and cross-cultural approaches, the Institute of Chinese Culture strives to become a first-class teaching and research institute of traditional Chinese culture that is recognized nationally and internationally, and an outstanding international academic platform as well as a key research institute up to international standards and with a global vision to promote cross-cultural dialogues and the excellent traditions of Chinese culture.
