Tutoring is a one-on-one consultation on specific problems or concerns students have in using or learning English. Students may, for example, bring a piece of writing (at any stage) or presentation they are working on. The tutor gives feedback, usually focusing first on the ideas, logic, and organization. Tutors also point out patterns of error in grammar and offer students some strategies to improve independently.
