MA in Global Studies
The program provides students with essential knowledge to “know the world”, and critical understanding of the theory and practice in several domains of global studies in academia or workplace contexts, with a focus on advanced analytical skills. The program covers three major domains of global studies, which are operationalized as three concentrations from which each student chooses one: international relations, global political economy, and global sustainability. The program provides advanced training for those students who are interested in pursuing careers in global affairs or those interested in pursuing more advanced degrees in the relevant domains of global studies in the future. With solid foundation in global studies, this program prepares young professionals for dynamic global careers, and inspires potential global leaders with broad international perspectives.
MPhil-PhD in Global Studies
The programme seeks innovative and forward-thinking social science talents globally with a range of research focuses, including international relations, international security, international political economy, global governance, international organization, comparative politics, Chinese political economy and other related areas. The programme aims to equip students with interdisciplinary and independent analysis skills, the capability of critical thinking and creativity, and a global and innovative mind-set, which enable students to be professionals at top research universities or leading industries.
