Tian Xintong Kenneth is an MPhil-PhD student in Global Studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. Previously, he received a Master's Degree in International Relations from the University of Coimbra in 2019 and a BA in Portuguese Language and Literature from Beijing International Studies University in 2017. From 2019 to 2023, he was a lecturer in Portuguese at Beijing International Studies University and served as Dean of the Division of Portuguese Language from 2021 to 2023. Additionally, he contributed as a test maker for CATTI-Portuguese (2021-2023). He is an examiner for the Oral Session of CAPLE Exams. His research is primarily method-driven, emphasizing the use of quantitative analysis and coding for causal inference. While his research topics are diverse, he is currently focused on comparative politics and text-as-data methods.
