Professor LI Lan from HSS won the honor of “Outstanding Educator” of Shenzhen in 2020
Recently, to further inspire the enthusiasm and creativity of teachers, promote the social norm of respecting teachers and valuing education, Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Education organized the selection and commendation work of outstanding teaching units and outstanding educators. After selection, more than 600 teachers and 57 teaching units are honored in total. Professor LI Lan from the School of Humanities and Social Science, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen was won the honor of “Outstanding Educator”.


Professor LI Lan holds a Ph. D. in Applied Linguistics from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom. She is currently Associate Professor of School of Humanities and Social Science of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Director of The Centre for Learning Enhancement And Research (CLEAR). Professor LI Lan is a member of CIOL (Chartered Institute of Linguists) and the executive director of the Asian Association for Lexicography. Her research fields include lexicology and lexicography, corpus study and EFL vocabulary learning, metaphor study, Neologisms, Technical and web writing, Language in computer mediated communication, Workplace English.
