Our Vision and Mission

The Undergraduate Research Conference at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, envisions empowering undergraduates to be at the forefront of knowledge creation and dissemination by upholding the values of excellence and innovation, collaboration, inclusion, and respect for diversity. We are dedicated to fostering and supporting mentored research endeavours of all undergraduate students to actively enhance and enrich their academic journey. We aim to develop undergraduates’ research competence by offering them opportunities to:

• showcase their research and presentation skills;
• communicate with research experts and gain insightful feedback;
• receive scholarly recognition of their research outcome.

Call for Abstracts

We invite undergraduate students to submit their original research for presentation at our Undergraduate Research Conference. This event provides an essential platform for undergraduate students to present their original, intellectual, or creative contributions across various disciplines. The U-core course - ENG2001 English for Academic Purposes provides students across all schools and departments with research opportunities and develops their research skills. This conference offers a unique opportunity for students to showcase their research skills, gain scholarly recognition, and engage in academic discourse.

We warmly invite all undergraduate students to be part of this enriching event and share their research with the academic community. We encourage submissions that contribute to the advancement of knowledge and foster professional networks.

Submission guidelines:

Undergraduate students in CUHK(SZ) can submit an abstract on any research projects they are engaged in. The topic of the presentation must be understandable to a general audience. The paper should not have been presented at other conferences or published before. Only single-authored paper is accepted.

• Title: no more than 20 words
• Abstract: no more than 150 words
• Keywords: 5 words

Important Dates

Deadline for submission: December 31st, 2024.

Notification of acceptance: February 1st, 2025.

Conference date: February 22nd, Saturday, 2025
