Good News | Professor DUAN Xiaolin from the School of Humanities and Social Science has been awarded the 2023 Excellent Professional Teaching Ethics Award of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen.
In celebration of the 39th Teachers' Day and to recognize outstanding teachers in terms of excellent professional teaching ethics in their educational work, the 2023 Excellent Professional Teaching Ethics Award and the Shenzhen Education Excellence Award ceremony was held on September 28, 2023 at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. Professor DUAN Xiaolin from the School of Humanities and Social Science was honored with the 2023 Excellent Professional Teaching Ethics Award of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen.

During the award ceremony, Professor DUAN Xiaolin delivered an acceptance speech and shared his insights and experiences in his teaching work. He emphasized the importance of teachers having a deep understanding and full mastery of teaching content, as well as the ability to self-correct and self-reflect. In his opinion, teachers should teach students knowledge and treat students genuinely and equally.

Introduction
Professor DUAN Xiaolin obtained his Ph.D. in Public Policy from the National University of Singapore in January 2017. Subsequently, he served as an Assistant Professor of International Politics in the Department of Global and Social Studies at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. Currently, he holds the position of Assistant Professor in Global Studies Programme of the School of Humanities and Social Science at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. His research interests include international relations theory, Chinese diplomacy and East Asian security, public and diplomatic policy analysis, nationalism, and more. Professor DUAN teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as Introduction to International Politics, International Relations Theory, Foreign Policy Decision Making, and Chinese Foreign Policy.
